About the event
In May 2016, with the help of Mo Holkar, we co-hosted our first LARP-style game at The Showroom in London, which attempted to explore what life might be like with Universal Basic Income and how this might affect the ways we relate with one another. The game was devised entirely collaboratively, having developed from a reading group initially setting out to explore themes of love and forms of relation, through both its content and form of organisation.
In this short session, we would like to return to some of our initial interests, of exploring forms of relation, and channel this into the specific preparatory space of a LARP game. Drawing on practices of performance art and Fluxus improvisation, we will invite participants to respond to a series of commands, provocations, and scores, to explore possible models of relation outside of the limitations of a defined narrative structure.
